The Department of Physics at Netaji Nagar College for Women, through its Green Energy Research Lab, provides a dynamic and research-intensive environment for doctoral studies in advanced materials and sustainable energy technologies. Under the supervision of Dr. Pradip Thakur, Director and Principal Investigator of the laboratory, Ph.D. scholars actively engage in cutting-edge research in the areas of energy harvesting, energy storage, nanomaterials, electroactive polymers, and multifunctional energy devices.
The laboratory is equipped with modern research facilities and offers opportunities for interdisciplinary collaboration, scientific innovation, and participation in funded research projects supported by national funding agencies. Presently, the Department has three Ph.D. research scholars working under the guidance of Dr. Pradip Thakur, all of whom are registered with the University of Calcutta (CU). The Department is committed to nurturing a strong research culture and providing scholars with the academic resources, mentorship, and research exposure necessary to contribute significantly to the advancement of sustainable energy science and technology.
