The Department of Botany was among the first to be started in this college, right at the time of establishment of the Netaji Nagar group of three colleges. Subsequently it has grown from strength to strength owing to its USP of dedicated teachers and sincere students. It has made a name for itself as a department that has always striven to make all facilities available to its students, under all circumstances, ensuring their education and development is not hampered for any reasons whatsoever. Students of all profiles are welcome here, and teachers put in a lot of effort to ensure that classes are held regularly and syllabus is completed on time. Student:Teacher ratio is reasonable, and that allows individual attention to each girl. Educational tours to different parts of India are a regular feature of the department. Regular feedback from students and guardians ensures the teaching-learning process does not lag or gets misdirected at any point. Students always repay that effort by putting in their best to bring in admirable results. Many alumni of the department are doing well in jobs or further studies, whether in the country or abroad.
